Conor Smith joined Marsh Canada in 2024 as now leads our National Surety Team, supporting contractors of all sizes across diverse industries. He is dedicated to delivering customized risk solutions, building enduring client partnerships, and contributing to the growth and strength of our surety practice.

Conor brings more than 15 years of experience in surety and risk management. Prior to joining Marsh Canada, he served as a Surety Practice Leader at a specialized surety firm and as Head of Surety for the Canadian operation of a global insurer, where he built and led the surety business and underwriting team and contributed at the executive level. He has also held senior roles across the insurance and brokerage sectors. Conor combines deep underwriting expertise, strong market relationships, and a client-first approach to help contractors establish or maximize surety facilities and pursue larger, strategic opportunities.
