Chair of Garden Centres Canada transitions to Leanne Johnson, President & CEO of GardenWorks!

The Board of CNLA is pleased to announce that Leanne Johnson has been appointed new Chair of Garden Centres Canada.
As President and CEO of Gardenworks, BC’s largest independent Retail Garden Centre Company, Leanne brings a wealth of experience to her volunteer position of GCC Chair. In 2024 Leanne Chaired the planning group for Canada’s hosting of the IGCA Congress in Montreal and Quebec City- where 180 delegates from 19 countries were wowed by the area’s impressive, world class garden centres.
Leanne is passionate about lending her talents and experience to Garden Centres Canada with the aim of working with all the fabulous and committed volunteer committee members from across all of Canada, alongside the dedicated team at CNLA. “Together we will elevate our businesses, and celebrate the unique value our garden centers bring to the communities we are part of”.
Leanne and the entire GCC Committee are grateful to Robin Godfrey, outgoing GCC Chair, for the inspiration, leadership, humour and traction he created for the betterment of garden centres across our nation. Robin will continue to serve GCC in the role of Past Chair.
