The Landscape Horticulture Certification Program offers certification for the following designations:
- Certified Landscape Horticulturist Technician
- Certified Landscape Horticulturist Manager
- Certified Landscape Designer
- Accredited Landscape Horticulture Company
How it Works
1. Submit your registration forms to the CNLA office
(Study manuals are also available for purchase through the CNLA office)
2. CNLA will send login access to Valid-8, for practical testing and Mettl, for written testing
3. Candidates have 24/7 access to submit video evidence and write the written component of the exam for 1-year from date of registration
4. Judges and staff will assess and score video evidence and written test sessions and send scores accordingly
5. If a re-test is required, CNLA staff will work to coordinate new written test access. Practical video evidence allows for unlimited uploads within the 1-year access to Valid-8.
6. Once a candidate has passed all required sections of the selected designation, pass documents will be mailed directly.
7. Recertification is required every two years from the date a candidate earned their certification. Continuing education units (CEUs) and payment is to be submitted to the CNLA office.
